The Best Friend’s Statement on the Release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi



Ashin Issariya, Ashin Kovida and some guests recently visited two schools which get support from The Best Friend: KM42 School and Hope School. Both schools are in the Mae Sot area and educate Burmese children, whose parents are refugees or (illegal) migrant workers in Thailand.



In a speech given at noon today to a crowd of at least 40.000 people outside the headquarters of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in Rangoon, Aung San Suu Kyi said she will continue to work towards national reconciliation but she needs the people’s help and support to do so.
