Last October we started our “Teddies for the Children on the Rubbish Dump” action. It started with two woman in Germany knitting teddies and soon more woman joined in and we got support from France, Ireland and Austria. We want to say a big THANK YOU for your great support!
Now that we have all had some time to get used to this new year, we would like to update you about what is going on with Burma-related events in the next few weeks at The Best Friend Library and in Chiang Mai!
Two Italian charity organizations, Karuna and Krio Hirundo, have started helping Burmese immigrants and refugees in Maesot. Karuna Association is a Buddhist volunteer’s association, founded by inspiration of Ashin Mahapannya who has a small temple in Lerici, Italy.
