Burmese monks Ashin Kovida and Ashin Sopaka attendet the “Dictatorship NOW – Democracy HOW?” debate in Amsterdam on Saturday 3 July. The interesting questions where about the elections, their peaceful struggle for freedom and the monks uprisings of 2007. The Best Friend Project Burma Voices was launched on this day too.
Around 40 people attended our Burma VJ screening and discussion with Ashin Kovida and Ashin Sopaka on Friday in Berlin. People were very moved and it arouse a very interesting discussion about the situation in Burma afterwards. The evening was rounded off with delicious Burmese food.
